The master catalog lives in Notion.

One row, one priced SKU.

Don't make a new row when something already exists. Always search first. If the same item appears at multiple prices, keep the most recent and delete the rest.

Unit Price is per Unit. Sheet materials are per sq ft.

A 4'×8' ACP sheet is 32 sq ft, a 5'×10' is 50 sq ft. So ₹95/sq ft = ₹3,040 per 4'×8' sheet. Fill Sheet Area (sq ft) on every sheet row — the work order tool uses it to compute total cost correctly.

Variants go in their own properties, not the title.

Don't: “Acrylic Clear 5mm Blue”, “Acrylic Clear 3mm Blue” — separate rows.Do: Item Name = “Acrylic Clear”, set Thickness, Brand, color in a property. One row per Item × Brand × Thickness combination.

Every row needs Category + Unit + Price.

A row without all three doesn't show up in the work-order tool's catalog search. If you're unsure of price, leave a placeholder of 0 and flag in Notes — better than a phantom row.

Every row gets one Vendor.

Pick the primary supplier. Backup vendors go in Recommendation Notes on the Vendor page, not as a second relation here. This keeps the rollup on Material Orders clean.

LED rows always state Type + Colour in Item Name.

“LED Strip 6mm Cool White 6500K”, not “LED Strip”. Production reads this on the work order — wrong colour installed is a costly mistake.

Movement count is sheets, not sq ft.

The number tracks physical sheets consumed across all projects — separate from the sq ft you typed in. Don't reconcile them.
